FRIDAY June 10

Unfortunately, due to the forecast weather conditions on Friday afternoon with wind speeds expected to exceed 30 knots south of Skye, we are unable to operate Waverley’s sailing from Kyle of Lochalsh and Armadale. The ship will instead seek shelter and head south to Oban on Thursday evening (June 9) after completing her planned cruise to Gairloch.

We do sincerely apologise for having to cancel Waverley’s planned sailing on Friday, but this decision has been taken with the interest of safety in mind for passengers, crew and the vessel.

Passengers with an advance booking will be contacted. We are able to offer a free transfer to another sailing this year or next. Alternatively we can make a full refund.

Those supporters who had intended to sail to Oban on Friday will be offered a coach transfer from Kyle of Lochalsh. The Coach provided by Shiel Buses will depart from Kyle Railway Station at 1000.
