DRY DOCK 2023 APPEAL

Waverley’s 2022 sailing season was successful with over 100,000 passengers stepping aboard. Waverley returned to Oban & the Inner Hebrides, the South Coast and London & the Thames after an absence of 4 years. Support was strong, particularly for cruises on the South Coast and Thames with several sailings fully booked.

Unfortunately Waverley, like so many others, has been hit hard by increasing fuel costs. During the 2022 season fuel costs increased by over 60%, or put another way an increase of £300,000. This has contributed to a shortfall in having enough funds to afford the winter maintenance works. Dry docking is the single biggest cost within the winter refit and maintenance works, a cost which is unaffordable without help.

The Dry Dock 2023 Appeal was launched in January 2023 to raise £180,000 towards the dry dock and re-commissioning costs ahead of the 2023 season. The Appeal reached it target of £180,000 in less than 3 months thanks to the generous support of well over 2,000 individuals. THANK YOU to everyone that donated.
