We are delighted to announce Waverley’s 2023 London & Thames Estuary Timetable which will operate from Friday September 22 to Sunday October 8.
This year’s timetable builds on the highly successful 2022 programme which saw several cruises fully booked. Once again Waverley will be offering sailings from a variety of ports and piers including London’s Tower Pier, Gravesend, Southend (which is 2023 Pier of the Year), Whitstable, Clacton, Ipswich and Southwold. There will also be coach connections from Great Yarmouth (to join at Southwold) and Margate (to join at Whitstable).
Waverley’s sailing from Ipswich down the River Orwell and all the way up the Thames to London on Saturday September 23 will be her first sailing in over 20 years from the port – advance booking is recommended for this sailing.
A highlight of this year’s programme will be Waverley taking centre stage in a Historic Ships Parade where she will meet several other historic vessels including Steam Tug Challenge, X-Pilot, Vic 96 and Touchstone. Waverley will cruise out to Knock John & Shivering Sands Forts giving close up views of these impressive structures.
The ever popular sailings under Tower Bridge are a frequent feature on the timetable – be sure not to miss the chance to steam under Tower Bridge TWICE.
On Sunday September 24 & Saturday October 7 Waverley will cruise up the river Medway to view Paddle Steamer Medway Queen at her berth in Gillingham.
If you can’t make a full day cruise then why not join Waverley for an evening cruise on the Twinkling Thames and view a floodlit Tower Bridge open just for Waverley!
Bookings are open for all London & Thames cruises – book online or call 0141 243 2224 (Mon-Fri 0930-1630).
