Thanks to the exceptional generosity of so many individuals Waverley’s Masts & Windows Winter Appeal has now raised over £100,000 – this is truly fantastic and we are very grateful to everyone that has donated.

Donations are still being received daily so we are hopeful of reaching the £135,000 target in the coming weeks. Some of the money donated has already been put to use as we have paid for the new window frames which are being produced by Roundstone Joinery based near the market town of Arundel in West Sussex. They were chosen at the suggestion of the long term Waverley supporter who built the current windows over 30 years ago. That same supporter is liaising and overseeing production of the new windows to ensure the same high quality on Waverley’s new windows.

We are now expecting the new windows to arrive in Glasgow by the end of January so that our dedicated varnishing volunteers can get to work, each window will receive many coats of varnish to help protect them from the harsh environment of constant sea water and paddle spray attack!
