Strong winds are forecast for Saturday which may result in Waverley’s cruise being amended to keep to more sheltered waters.

Waverley sailed from Southampton at 0900 and will sail from Portsmouth (tender departs Portsmouth Hard Interchange at 1255) for a cruise of the Isle of Wight. Given the wind strength it is unlikely that Waverley will be able to proceed round the Island as planned and will instead cruise within the Solent.

Waverley is unable to call at Yarmouth today due to strong winds. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience, but this decision has been made in the interest of passenger safety.

Passengers joining in Portsmouth must take the tender provided by Gosport Ferry departing at 12.55pm. The Portsmouth tender will depart from The Hard, Portsmouth Harbour, PO1 3EB. Follow signs for Gosport Ferry adjacent to the entrance of Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station.
