THURSDAY September 11

Given the strong south westerly winds now being forecast in excess of 35 knots we have taken the decision to amend Waverley’s sailing. All pre-booked passengers have been notified of the amendment to this cruise.

Waverley’s departure time from Portsmouth will remain as advertised with the Coach Connection from Worthing departing at 7:45am and the tender vessel from Portsmouth Harbour and Gosport departing at 9:15am.

Waverley will now cruise to view the Solent Forts and Sandown Bay before then steaming through the Solent towards the Needles Rocks. She will also take a trip up Southampton Water and return to Portsmouth around 5pm. While the winds will be strong west of the Isle of Wight by offering this amended cruise sailing conditions will be good with some sunny spells expected.

Given the length of trip will be reduced we are able to offer passengers either a Half Price Voucher for a future cruise (with no expiry date) or a part refund to reduce the full fare down to just £49.

Passengers joining in Portsmouth or Gosport must take the tender provided by Gosport Ferry departing at 9:15am. The Portsmouth tender will depart from The Hard, Portsmouth Harbour, PO1 3EB. Follow signs for Gosport Ferry adjacent to the entrance of Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station. The Gosport tender will depart from the ferry terminal, South Street, Gosport, PO12 1EP. Please note that passengers in wheelchairs are not able to transfer via tender.

The coach connection from Worthing departs from Marine Parade outside Worthing Pier at 7:45am to join the steamer at Portsmouth.

Waverley’s calls at Yarmouth and Swanage have been cancelled, those passengers booked from Yarmouth and Swanage can transfer their booking to another available sailing or request a refund.
