Unfortunately Waverley will be unable to operate on Tuesday 23 August due to over running maintenance work.

We apologise that we are unable to sail Waverley and the inconvenience it will cause passengers.

Additional information – during a planned maintenance day (Monday 22 August) work was carried out on one of the steam pumps in the engine room. The work required was more than initially expected and our engineers have continued to work well into the evening in an attempt to avoid cancelling the sailing. However, we will now need to machine a part and this can’t be done in the time available first thing in the morning before Waverley is due to depart Glasgow at 1015.

Those passengers with pre-booked tickets will be contacted – tickets can be transferred to any other sailing (even at a more expensive fare) or can be refunded.

We do sincerely apologise for cancelling this sailing.
