Given that wave height / swell is now predicted to be around 1m at Southwold pier we have amended Waverley’s cruise to start from Ipswich as there would be a high chance of not being able to board passengers safely on the gangways at Southwold Pier.

Coaches will depart Southwold Pier at 9am to connect with Waverley in Ipswich. Please note that all Waverley passengers from Southwold must board the Waverley arranged coaches as passengers are not able to freely enter Ipswich docks.

Waverley will sail from Ipswich and steam down the River Orwell viewing the Port of Felixstowe, Clacton (1330) and Southend (1615) to steam up the River Thames and under a floodlit Tower Bridge.

A coach connection will operate from Great Yarmouth (0845) to connect with Waverley at Ipswich.
